TBE not to me.

I am a  new blogger. this is a new blog.

Jo Jo The Knight the blog will feature sports, life and poetry.

I am calling yet another fighter over rated , except on a grander scale, in our short time.
My 1st piece referred to Mike Tyson as overrated because he never beat a signature fighter.
{maybe Micheal Spinks)
Floyd Meaweather jr. one of the all-time great boxers ever pound per pound.
I don't believe he is The Best Ever.
The destruction  of the late Diego Corrales, {Who incidentally was arguably involved with one of the greatest fights of all time vs. Jose luis castillio ..}stoppage of Rickey Hatton, he beat Delahoya, Alvarez.and Pacquiauo.
The most talented defensive fighter I've ever witnessed and a marketing genius should make or be near any top ten rankings when discussing the best pound per pound fighters, of all-time.
To be known as the best ever, to me means your last fight can't be versus an amateur boxer.
Yes Conner Mcgregor is an MMA Champion.'
Yes he has a boat load of heart.
Yes he put up a reasonable showing against ONE OF boxing's best ever.
However there are too many boxers who worked too hard, have already fought quality boxing opponents that would have been much more of a legacy defining fight than someone who was in their 1st professional bout.
The fight was better than expected but in no way was Floyd's undefeated record in jeopardy,
I will go on to say on that night worthy opponents like Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Spence, Canelo Alvarez would have beaten or knocked Floyd out.
Floyd picks his opposition like fruit, he waits until they are ripe to be beaten then  he fights them.
Boxing is a sport filled with risks, we as fans revere those who take risks. (which is why many love knock out artists} Floyd was a careful fighter who to his credit has all his physical faculties in order.
He was a defensive wizard who was also careful with the opponents he picked and when he fought
them. Mayweather's undefeated record is just as much a result of careful choosing of opponents as his superior greatness in the boxing ring.

TOP 10 POUND PER POUND All-Time ACCORDING TO JOJO:

1. Sugar Ray Robinson
2. Muhammad Ali
3. Joe Louis
4. Willie Pep
5. Rocky Marciano
6. Jack Dempsey
7. Jack Johnson
 8. Sugar Ray Leonard
 9. Floyd Mayweather jr.
 10.Marvelous Marvin Hagler
