yikes! i told you though..

I blogged and did my radio show (The Joe Knight show) more consistently a year or two ago. I realized that on my show when discussing our POTUS, I called him a dictator. (A lot)
I told you...  The way he has handled the Pandemic is deplorable and reminds me of the movie Casino. Robert Deniro's character Sam Rothstein fired a guy from his casino. He stated that the guy was "too stupid or he was in on it", when hustlers stole from the casino. THAT IS TRUMP!
Either he ignored intelligence on purpose or too dumb to take their advice.
U.S. officials conducted training last year simulating this exact scenario that's playing out.
Trump ignored that warning plus another warning given to him by intelligence in January regarding a pandemic. Fast forward to March 6th, he claims "it came out of no where." Dictators can openly contradict themselves because they do what they want. Go back and Google statements Trump made
pre-election 2016. Whether its mocking handicapped reporters, calling white nationalists good people, or currently questioning if states who have people dying from said pandemic really need ventilators:THIS IS WHAT DICTATORS DO!! Public servants serve the public, Dictators serve themselves.
PEOPLE BELIEVE YOUR EYES! Yes Trump is a racist and misogynist.Yes he discusses T.V. ratings during the press conferences regarding A deadly outbreak. Yes he argues with women who challenge him with the words he himself used. Yes Trump minimalized the danger of The Corona Virus and called it a "hoax." He then turns around and says he called it a pandemic before it was deemed one. Yes he ignored Bill Gates who warned him privately about preparing for potential epidemics.
  Yes he is incessant in self congratulating himself. Trump is a boldfaced liar who stays socially distant from the truth. 3 weeks ago he stated The U.S. had 15 cases of infected citizens and it would be 0 soon. Now we have the most cases in the world. (dictators have no obligation to the truth}
Yes he cut 80% from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He eliminated $30 million from the Complex Crisis Fund. Trump reduced National Health spending by 15 Billion. He is too stupid to be our President or is screwing us on purpose. American citizens lives is a preview of Marshall Law which is coming shortly after our economy crashes.

Rousey and Tyson

I saw a commercial with Migos and Holly Holm when I began to think of something.
The great careers of Rhonda Rousey and Mike Tyson are similar. Both dominated the above average down to the lack luster fighters in a spectacular manner.
When men or women stepped up and were either unafraid or had a strong skill set they lost. {at least they gave them a good fight.}
Tyson had trouble with skilled big men with good jabs. Rousey was undefeated until she ran into fighters who were good strikers and didn't allow her to choke them out.
Mike and Rhonda are both Hall of Fame fighters. Both won and lost in spectacular fashion.
One of the most memorable pieces of footage in Tyson's career, was his loss to James Buster Douglass. Mlike reaching for his mouth piece on all fours after taking brutal punishment from James Buster Douglass is a legendary moment in boxing. The underdog destroying the champ who seemed invincible up until that point.
The head kick Rousey took from Holly Holmes was an iconic moment in UFC history. Her 2nd loss was a ferocious beat down administered by Amanda Nunes. Yes, the lady who recently stopped Chris "Cyborg".
Shortly there after Rhonda Rousey wisely retired. While she was a pioneer in the sport, the women had garnered more diverse fighters ie.. kick boxers, martial artist and way better strikers in the upper echelon of the sport.
Mike Tyson ended his career with a record of 50-6 with 44 knockouts. Rhonda Rousey was 12-2 with nine submissions.

The gift and the Curse

                                                        The Gift and the Curse......

In 2016, The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Championship. 52 years of obscurity, disappointments, affliction and near misses were swept away in one record setting series.
The Cleveland sports landscape was basically forged out of the compilation of memorable games and moments that didn't go our way. The Drive, The Fumble, Jose Mesa blown save in the ninth inning of the 1997 World Series, The Browns leaving...(you get the point)
The victory in 2016, seemed to wash away all those ills, the lack, the jokes, Free at Last!, We slayed   the dragon! The Curse Is Dead!
Wait a second, there are instances of familiar misfortune that has resurfaced since June of 2016.
The Cleveland Indians of 2016 had a 3-1 lead over The Chicago Cubs and lost the series in 7 games. Our beloved Tribe blew a 2-0 lead against the Yankees in last year's MLB Playoffs.
Kyrie Irving the man who made the shot which a generation of Clevelanders will never forget, requests and is granted a trade. The people of the trade got traded, including a cancerous twerp who stunk up the joint with his play and crappy attitude who on paper was suppose to replace Irving.
The Browns have won 1 game in the last two NFL seasons. Stipe Miocic lost his MMA Heavyweight Championship belt. (Daniel Cormier is one of the greatest MMA fighters of all-time)
A play which rivaled A Dave Chapelle Show skit, Jr. Smith forgot the score in the 2018 NBA Finals and dribbled out the clock. This Bill Buckneresque play obliterating any chance The Cavs had of competing, let alone beating The Golden State Warriors in The Finals.
Shortly there after Cleveland loses the best player to ever play in the city, not named Jim Brown.
yes, Lebron James left for a second time.
Cleveland is a loyal and very knowledgeable sports fan base, with clumsy teams.
I mean, you can't make this stuff up! Cleveland sports is 40 year old virgin levels of unlucky.
Please be clear! The Championship residue has not fully worn off from 2016. The champagne memories that eternally live in my heart are starting to dry up. I can say that I am getting a craving for another Championship.
We have a team who is currently in first place.
A team who can match anyone's pitching staff in professional baseball
We have a future Hall of Fame Manager
A dynamic 3rd base and shortstop combination.
We have a team who will rally together. Yes, I believe that we will win!
This title we will celebrate with unmitigated arrogance!
This ship will be even more epic!
This one we can shove in the face of "The Draymond Greens" of the world. (shout out to Tristan "pretty boy" Thompson)
We can give a huge middle finger to the rest of the country that wishes to crack jokes, recall our past failures, or mock our Championship as, "only one."
This Championship, we can have the 2nd parade we should've had in 2016.
This Championship, will be won  by The Cleveland Indians as we take out The LA Dodgers in 6 games, in the 2018 World Series.

Miller is Key to post season success

The Cleveland Indians are cruising to another American League Central Division title here in 2018. Let's be clear the division sucks and we are the only team above .500 currently.  Out of the teams in the American League playoff picture the Tribe is by far the team with the worst record. The Yankees, Red Sox, and the World Champion Astros all have loaded rosters top to bottom. All are 20-40 games above .500, while the Tribe is merely 9. There are two months to go in the regular season and my confidence hasn't faded as it relates to the Tribe's chances of winning it all.
Good pitching beats good hitting and we have good pitching! Trevor Bauer is a pit bull on the mound whose knuckle curve gives hitters fits. Corey Kluber is the defending Cy Young Award winner. Carlos Carrasco and Mike Clevinger are two strong 3rd and 4th options as playoff starters.
(let's hope nobody throws on 3 days rest this postseason) our 1-4 in the batting order are strong, 5-9 are ehh... The separation between our team and the rest lies in the left hand of Andrew Miller.
Miller is the closest thing to Randy Johnson you'll ever see. He has a dominant postseason under his belt.{2016} Miller was MVP of the American League Championship Series. He didn't allow a run in his first 14 postseason appearances.
Miller is rehabbing from an injured knee and if the Tribe can get him back in totality, they can win it all. His ability to dominate and get you 6 outs or more can shorten a game for the starters.
In 2017, he came back to earth  as he gave up a home run to Greg Bird of the Yankees which was the deciding blow.
Now as we sit and wait for Miller's return to the rotation here in 2018, the window to win a Championship is closing. The Indians breaking the longest Championship drought in baseball is heavily dependent on the right knee and Left arm of Andrew Miller.
