College Football... Leave the Playoffs Alone!!

COLLEGE FOOTBALL HAS THE BEST REGULAR SEASON IN                                                     SPORTS!

The reason College Football is the best regular season product in sports, is because regular season = the playoffs. You can just ask my Ohio State buckeyes, no one really thought Iowa was going to beat the Buckeyes.
Iowa not only won but blew them out.  The system in place now is if you lose, YOU LOSE!!
Every lose matters which is why the Bucks didn't make the playoffs this year.
Last year loses mattered. which is why the Buckeyes made it over Penn State. (they suffered a blow out loss to Michigan last year)
If a 6 or 8 team playoff is put in place you lose the significance of every game counting in the CFB regular season. I believe it's great when we are discussing good teams who didn't make the playoffs.
This means you have a quality product, and not just anybody can get in.
In the event there is a 6 or 8 team playoff the standards are falling and we would be discussing lesser teams who didn't make the playoffs.
When you look @ the end of the regular season, you had the majority of the top 8 teams playing against each other.
Clemson Vs. Miami---ACC Championship
Ohio State Vs. Wisconsin----Big Ten Championship
Oklahoma Vs. TCU----Big 12 Championship
 Auburn Vs. Georgia---- Sec Championship

I also believe you would have AN INFLUX, of players not going to the lesser non play off bowls. (Some are doing that now) Carolina Panthers rookie Christian McCafferey is one who didn't attend his final bowl game as a Stanford Cardinal, in order to get ready for the NFL draft.
The top four chosen by the committee to go to the 2017 college playoffs are reasonable to me.
When the Buckeyes were creamed by Iowa they blew the opportunity to get in.
The Alabama Crimson Tide would be favored against all most any team who is currently in the playoffs. (Alabama favored by 1.5 points over number 1 Clemson)

1. Clemson
2. Oklahoma
3. Georgia
4.  Alabama

My hope is that The current playoff system stays in place, because it will make power 5 conferences schedule better teams in the regular season. Changing and expanding the playoff system will allow teams to schedule the weaker teams thus making a weaker product compared to the one we have now.
